Sharon Taylor Padgett

Sharon Taylor Padgett has been painting and selling her artwork in Florida and South Carolina for more than 30 years. Painting in oils and acrylics, her subjects on canvas range from landscapes and equestrian scenes, to portraits and scenes of the Carolina Lowcountry.

Sharon studied art at Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, Fla., and from the late modern Italian artist, Livio Valentini at the University of South Carolina. She has taken numerous workshops from other accomplished artists. A former newspaper reporter, Sharon is an accomplished writer, illustrator and artist. She teaches workshops in the area and from her home studio in Aiken, SC. Her work is in private and corporate collections.

She is past-president of the Aiken Artist Guild and is also a member of the Aiken Center for the Arts, a member of the Aiken Artist Guild and North Augusta Artist Guild. Her work is sold from several galleries/shops in the state.

1999 Gallery Café, Edisto Beach, SC
2008 - Participated in South Carolina National Heritage Corridor’s ‘Carolina-Barbados Connection’ Traveling Exhibit. Two paintings toured the state, and then were exhibited in the Caribbean country of Barbados.
