AAG Arts & Heritage Center of North Augusta Show September 2022

CONDITIONS FOR ACCEPTANCE OF ARTWORK FOR DISPLAY IN THE ARTS & HERITAGE CENTER GALLERIES

1. Original Works Only. We cannot accept gicleé or offset prints. All work must be original, conceived by the artist and not work produced in a class or tutorial setting in which other artists are producing the same image. It should not be copied from published or copyrighted materials.

2. All 2D work must be framed. Gallery wrapped edges are acceptable on unframed, stretched canvasses. Matted work will not be accepted.

3. All work to be hung must be properly wired and ready to hang. No sawtooth hangers will be allowed. Commercial frames with eyelets or other hanging systems still must be wired. There will be no exceptions to this condition.

4. All work must be labeled on the back at lower left or right with the artist’s name and the title of the piece. The title must conform to that on your inventory or on the submission agreement.

5. Paperwork should be filled out in advance. Submission agreement forms will be available on our website and attached to emails notifying artists of upcoming events. You may request forms by calling or emailing the Center director (director@artsandheritagecenter.com)

6. All submissions must be available for sale to the public. Items not for sale may be entered with approval of the Executive Director, no more than one per entrant.

7. Note that these conditions are NOT guidelines; they must be adhered to or the work submitted will not be accepted.

Drop off: September 6, 10am -4pm and September 7, 10am-2pm

Reception: September 15, 5pm-8pm

Pick up: October 7, 10am-4pm

Drop Off:

Artwork to be delivered on September 6th and 7th, 2022 between the hours of 10 am and 4 pm.  The AHC will make decisions about placement and install the artwork unless specifically discussed otherwise.

Loan Forms (to be completed in advance): All exhibitions require a loan form which details each artwork/artifact within an exhibit and legally gives the AHC temporary custody of the artwork/artifact. The AHC is able to insure artwork/artifacts against damages or theft over $500. Loan forms must be completed by the owners before or at the time of delivery with a list of the artwork (if more than 2 pieces) attached. Loan form is available for download below.

Size and Weight Specifications: AHC does not restrict the size or weight of artwork. Please contact the director, Mary Anne Bigger, (director@artsandheritagecenter.com) if you have extremely large pieces or any work you believe they may have trouble displaying.

Pick Up: The exhibit is to remain in place until pick-up day, October 7, 2022. Exhibitors cannot take objects out of the exhibit until the pick-up date without prior permission from the Director. All unsold artwork/artifacts need to be on October 7, 2022 between the hours of 10 am and 4 pm.

Sales: Artwork must be for sale. 70% of the sale goes to the owner/artist and the AHC retains 30% of the sale price. There is no sales tax on sales processed through the AHC. Artwork that is purchased cannot be removed by the new owner until the completion of the exhibit, unless otherwise agreed to by the Director. Commission checks are written at the end of each quarter.

Display of Items: The AHC reserves the right to prohibit the display of artworks or historical items that are deemed inappropriate by the AHC’s Exhibits Committee or Art Jury. The AHC will decide how and where all artwork is exhibited.

Reception: Thursday, September 15, 2022 from 5-8pm.
