Pamela Wilson
Looking back over my life, I realize that I have always had a passion for color, nature and creative design. Until 1996 I expressed that passion only in my leisure time by doing crafts, sewing, interior decorating and designing and knitting sweaters. A friend encouraged me to take a watercolor class. I became hooked immediately. My husband and I were living in Michigan at the time where I entered shows, won a few awards, had a one-‐person show at the Birmingham, MI, Community House, and painted commissions. We moved to Aiken in December of 2004. Now I sell my paintings, notecards and crafts out of my home studio, as well as in other places in Aiken, including the Aiken Historical Museum Gift Shop. All of my proceeds go to charity. Since arriving in Aiken I have been able to contribute several thousands of dollars to various charities and think of my art as my volunteer work. It has given me much pleasure and satisfaction.
