Memorials & Donations

If you are interested in a tribute beyond flowers or a charity donation to honor a loved one, you might consider a donation to our scholarship fund. If you are considering a donation as an annual remembrance of a special person, perhaps someone who loved the arts, or created their own art, an award in their name is available.

In addtion to affording our local Aiken artist-members various venues for showcasing and selling the fruits of their talents, the Aiken Artist Guild provides, through its various show events and fundraisers, scholarships for USC-Aiken fine art majors entering their senior year and honoring past and present members of the guild who have made great contributions to the Aiken Artist Guild.

AWARDS GIVEN:

ARTIST HONORED  - AMOUNT - RECIPIENT

  1. Bobbie Cheatham -  $500 - Seth Fields
  2. Ed Warner - $1000 - Mabry MacGregor
  3. Nancy Wilds - $1000 - Sarah Europe
  4. George Kierspe- $1000 - Aaron Burkhart
  5. Pat Koelker - $1000 - Amanda Tietze

The Aiken Artist Guild, as a not-for-profit organization, is very proud to have been able to present five of these scholarships in the past three years through its fundraising efforts, and hopes to continue in this work long into the future.

If you would care to help us in our fundraising endeavors, you can send a check made payable to "Aiken Artist Guild" (please designate "Scholarship Fund" in the memo) and mail to:

Aiken Artist Guild, P.O. Box 148, Aiken, SC 29802

Respectfully submitted by Mike Kleiman, Scholarship Coordinator
