Aiken Center for the Arts
Mark your calendars for February 13 when USCA Professor Al Beyer will be our guest speaker at the next Aiken Artist Guild meeting. Well known by many AAG members, he will be speaking to us about how he uses photography and how it influences him as a painter.
Professor Beyer has been a professor at USCA since 1981. He currently teaches drawing, figure drawing, painting, and computer-related classes. In the past, he has also taught Design, Watercolor, Digital Illustration, Animation, Web Graphics, various Art History classes, and Art for Elementary Teachers at USCA.
He has degrees from Columbia University, N.Y.C., New York, and University of Arizona and has also attended classes at University of Alabama and Athens State College, Alabama. He has been teaching since 1969 first as a general science, physics, and language arts teacher, and later as an art teacher and professor.
His very impressive record of shows and awards is several pages long.
We will gather at 6:30 for refreshments and socializing and the business meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m. Please remember to bring your name tag.
